GIGI è un nome. GIGI Simply Handmade, desidera entrare in contatto con molte persone, offrendo oggetti semplicemente realizzati a mano. Alcune produzioni potranno essere indossate, altre osservate, appese, regalate, conservate; ciò che lega ognuna di queste è l’unicità, l’essere irripetibile. Frutto di idee e ripensamenti, derivanti da una ricerca avviata da anni nel campo delle arti visive, che attraverso GIGI Simply Handmade vuole essere tradotta in modo diretto e immediato sfiorando i campi della moda, del design e della stampa d’arte. A dettare il ritmo delle varie produzioni saranno tematiche sentite e attuali, messe in campo tramite materiali differenti.

GIGI is a name. GIGI Simply Handmade, wants to get in touch with many people, offering simply handmade objects. Some productions can be worn, others observed, hung, given away, preserved; what binds each of these is uniqueness, unrepeatable being. The result of ideas and second thoughts, deriving from a research started for years in the field of visual arts, which through GIGI Simply Handmade wants to be translated in a direct and immediate way, touching on the fields of fashion, design and art printing. To dictate the rhythm of the various productions will be heartfelt and current themes, fielded through different materials.

Donne, la cui forma non si può governare | Spille | Orecchini | Collane | Anelli

Una serie di broche, spille-ritratto di volti e dettagli femminili, donne che a loro modo e nel loro tempo hanno segnato la storia. Piccoli oggetti realizzati in argilla e dipinti a mano, da indossare con un pizzico di fierezza. Orecchini ispirati ad antichi cammei, montati con leggeri fili in metallo al fine di esaltare la materia argilla. Collane e ciondoli che ritraggono particolari elementi del viso, tratti salienti o insignificanti delle donne raccontate tramite la pittura.

Nellie Bly, Miriam Makeba, Paola Masino, Gerda Taro, Vivian Maier, sono solo alcune tra le tante donne alle quali questa raccolta rende omaggio. Volti, sguardi, dettagli che rimandano a tratti comuni tra figure lontane nel tempo, ma tutte incredibilmente attuali.

Women, whose form cannot be ruled | Brooches | Earrings | Necklaces | Rings

A series of portrait pins of female faces and details, women who in their own way and in their time have marked history. Small objects made of clay and hand painted, to be worn with a pinch of pride. Earrings inspired by ancient cameos, mounted with light metal threads in order to enhance the clay material. Necklaces and pendants that portray particular elements of the face, salient or insignificant features of women told through painting.

Nellie Bly, Miriam Makeba, Paola Masino, Gerda Taro, Vivian Maier, are just some of the many women to whom this collection pays tribute. Faces, looks, details that refer to common traits between figures distant in time, but all incredibly current.
