PERCEPTION ALWAYS STANDS IN NEED OF UNIVERSALS.
WE COULD NOT PERCEIVE AND RECOGNISE OUR FELLOW CREATURES IF WE COULD NOT PICK OUT THE ESSENTIAL
AND SEPARATE IT FROM THE ACCIDENTAL IN WATHEVER LANGUAGE WE MAY WANT TO FORMULATE THIS DISTINCTION.

“Every single project is a new paradoxical trial to isolate an object from its context: through various techniques I try to stay as neutral as possible with the intent to prove the impossibility to remain objective regarding what happens around us. I extract images from a specific context by cutting or memorizing them, then move them elsewhere or isolate them with the aim of resetting their meanings or finding new ones.”
